Man admits molesting child at Tuckahoe daycare
Isaac McKnight, 34, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a single count of criminal sexual act, a felony, according to Westchester County District Attorney James McCarty’s Office.
McKnight, of New Rochelle N.Y, was working part-time as an assistant teacher at the Andrus Early Learning Center, which is located in the same building as the Tuckahoe police station and village offices.
On Nov. 5, he sexually assaulted a 4-year-old while at the center, according to authorities. McKnight had worked at the center for about two weeks at that time.
McKnight was arrested on Nov. 12 following a joint investigation by the Tuckahoe police and Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.
The daycare center, which serves children between 18 months and 5 years old, told parents in a letter after McKnight’s arrest that no other children were abused there by him.
McKnight remains in the Westchester County jail. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 16.
