Celtics’ Isaiah Thomas: Goes off for 31 in win at home

Thomas tallied 31 points (10-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 8-12 FT), five assists, two rebounds, two steals and a block over 34 minutes in Wednesday’s 103-99 win against the Cavaliers.

Thomas delivered a masterful performance Wednesday night, nailing a 3-pointer from long range with less than a minute left to put Boston up for good. Boston’s offense was humming with Avery Bradley and Al Horford back at full speed, but Thomas was the clear catalyst, The team has continued to use back screens and other methods to assure their diminutive point guard has open looks, and he’s taking full advantage of them. Boston will take on the Lakers on Friday as they try to catch up with the Cavs in the East.
